Zion Glamping Overview

Glamping (glamorous camping) is such a fun activity! It’s the perfect combination of camping and hotel travel, and it’s a great middle ground for those who are looking for an adventure, but not too much of a rustic adventure. Glamping sites usually have comfortable beds, electricity, running water, full showers and bathrooms, and most even have wifi. Basically, it’s camping with modern comforts and conveniences! I love glamping and am always looking for new and fun glamping locations.

Zion National Park is an amazing place to glamp. There are many sites to choose from, and staying in an adorable tent or wagon surrounded by the gorgeous national park is truly an amazing experience. The Zion Wildflower Resort is a fantastic glamping option. It just opened in 2020, and is brand new, beautifully modeled, and so much fun!

Zion Wildflower Resort Overview

The Zion Wildflower opened in 2020 and is a beautiful resort. They have wagons, tents and bungalows that travelers can choose from, and each accommodation is truly adorable. The accommodations are luxurious (for glamping standards that is) and they have super soft beds as well as air conditioning and wifi in some units. The bungalows even have private bathrooms!

The check-in process was super easy, and everyone at the resort was so kind and accommodating. Upon arriving at the resort, if they have availability, they will let you tour the other units (wagons, bungalows and tents) and choose where you would like to stay! This was so much fun, and I loved being able to see all of the accommodation options.

Location

The Wildflower Resort is located about 15 minutes by car to the entrance of Zion National Park in Springdale, Utah. You need a car to access the glamping location, as there are no taxis or shuttles. Additionally, you are not walking distance to restaurants or shops, so you will need a car to get food and visit sites in the area.

There are no restaurants or coffee shops super close to the resort (all are about 10-15 minutes away,) however, a food truck does sometimes come at dinnertime!

The drive to Zion National Park is very easy, and although the resort is not right at the park entrance, it’s easily accessible.

Glamping Options: Tents, Wagons and Bungalows

As mentioned, at the Zion Wildflower Resort, glampers can choose between staying in tents, wagons or bungalows. The tents and wagons offer a true glamping experience, as they do not have wifi or private bathrooms. However, they are definitely luxurious camping options. The wagons and tents are equipped with electricity and comfortable beds, and make a lovely place to spend a few nights. Additionally, the communal bathrooms for the tents and wagons are clean and modern. The bungalows, on the other hand, have private bathrooms, and some even have wifi – if they’re located close to the communal area.

It is important to note that while the wagons and bungalows have air conditioning, the tents only have small (not very effective) cooling units at this time. If it is an extremely warm summer day, the tents may not be the most comfortable option – especially if you do not love the heat.

All of the accommodation options have beautiful views of the mountains, and you truly cannot find a more scenic location!

Lastly, dogs are also welcome for an extra nightly fee!

Amenities

In addition to the clean communal bathrooms, The Wildflower Resort also has water bottle filling stations! I really appreciated this as it limits the need for single-use plastic bottles. There is also a Keurig coffee machine available for guest use in the bungalows and in the check-in office.

The resort offers a lovely outdoor common area for guests to enjoy. There are picnic tables, grills, couches, fire pits, and even play structures for kids! Additionally, in the common area, there is free wifi for guest to use. We had dinner outside on the main lawn, and it was so enjoyable.

At check-in guests will be given a s’mores kit, and there are little bonfires in the outdoor common area every night. The bonfires are such a fun way to connect with other travelers, and to enjoy a sweet treat.

Rates

When we booked our tent at the Zion Wildflower in mid-July, the nightly rate was $229. Wagons were a similar price, and the bungalows were a little cheaper at around $199. Personally, I think the bungalows are the nicest accommodation option (private bathroom!), and definitely a great deal at only $199. In the fall and winter the currently listed prices are more expensive than in the summer months – although they are still reasonable.

These nightly rates, for a room that fits four people, is a great value. The glamping sites, as mentioned, truly have everything you need – and the wifi and modern amenities are a bonus!

Overall Experience

Overall, I truly enjoyed my time at the Zion Wildflower Resort. It was such a fun glamping experience, and a place I would absolutely come back to in the future. The glamping sites were clean and modern, and the fire pits and common spaces were lovely places to spend time outdoors and to meet other travelers.

I highly recommend glamping at the Zion Wildflower – click here for rates and to book your tent, wagon or bungalow!

  1. Well, this glamping thing is certainly an interesting idea.
I like gathering around campfires for chats and it’s nice that they give you something to roast on the fire.

  2. Zion Wildflower Resort is amazing!! My kids would be all about staying in one of the covered wagons. However, I do like the idea of the private bathroom in the bungalow.

  3. I’ve been wanting to visit Zion, and this sounds like such a fun way to visit! I would love to have s’mores by the campfire, that sounds amazing. I’ll have to check these out. Thanks for sharing!

  4. We stayed in the wagon here over spring break and woke up in the morning to snow! Not fun to use a communal bathroom when there’s snow on the ground, but hey, part of the experience right? We also stayed in a bungalow. Definitely worth it for a private bathroom. Zion Wildflower is a great option in Zion!

    1. Wow! Staying while it snowed must have been such a crazy experience. I also would definitely not love the idea of using communal bathrooms when it’s so cold and snowy!

  5. Glamping looks like a lot of fun! And good to know they have a/c! Sounds like a fun trip to bring your dog too. Looks absolutely beautiful!

  6. Oh how fun! I would think the wagons would be the most unique and interesting, but the bungalows the most comfortable. Glamping seems to be all the rage as people seek more adventure but still want conveniences.
