Things to do in Honesdale PA. Shopping on Main Street.

Have Lunch at the Hotel Wayne

The historic Hotel Wayne is located right in the center of Honesdale, and makes a nice place to have lunch. The hotel retains much of its traditional charm, and is walking distance to most of Honesdale’s top attractions.

While the food at the hotel is only okay (in my opinion,) it’s definitely a nice experience to have a meal at the charming hotel.

Check out the Boutiques

On Main Street you’ll find a small collection of shops and boutiques. My favorite is Gather, and I would definitely drive out of my way to visit this shop again. They have an adorable collection of gifts, home items, clothing, baby items and more! If you’re looking for a cute birthday or housewarming gift, this is definitely a great store to check out!

Take a Scenic Train Tour

From Honesdale, you can take a scenic train tours with the Stourbridge Line! There are a bunch of different train excursions that operate throughout the year, including a Farmer’s Market Explorer, Foliage Express and a Winter wonderland Express, just to name a few. They all sound so fun, and I want to go on every single one! Click here for excursion dates, prices and to book tickets.

Relax in Central Park

Located just a block from Main Street you’ll find Central Park. Central Park has benches, a fountain and a children’s playground. It’s a nice place to relax, read a book, or even have a picnic!

Have Coffee at Black Brass Coffee Roasting Company

Black Brass Coffee on Main Street is a must visit when in Honesdale. The cafe itself is welcoming, and they sell a variety of bagged coffee and merchandise. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and I really enjoyed both their hibiscus iced tea and iced coffee!

Have Yummy Ice Cream at Gravity Ice Cream

Located just off of Main Street, Gravity Ice Cream has been serving up delicious treats for decades. I tried the strawberry and coconut soft serve, and it was really good! The prices are also super reasonable, with a small soft serve costing just $2. Gravity Ice Cream is cash only.
