Hi there! In today’s post I will be sharing 7 fun things to do in Hoboken, New Jersey. Hoboken is a cute little city located just across the Hudson River from Manhattan. It’s super easy (and quick) to visit from NYC, and you can access Hoboken by PATH train, ferry, or bus. Hoboken makes a wonderful afternoon trip from New York City – there is a lot to see, and it’s a great way to escape the crowds. If you live in, or are visiting, New York City, I definitely recommend checking out Hoboken for a fun afternoon!

Visit Carlo’s Bakery

Carlo’s Bakery is super well known from the TLC show Cake Boss. This was one of the main reasons I wanted to visit Hoboken, so that I could check out the bakery and try some yummy treats. Surprisingly, there was no line and I was able to order right away! I recommend both the confetti cake and the cannolis – but I’m sure everything is delicious!

Eat Pizza at Benny Tudino’s

There are tons of places to eat in Hoboken, but we chose Benny Tudino’s because it came highly recommended! It certainly did not disappoint – the pizza was so, so good! The slices are also huge, and Benny Tudino’s is known for having the largest slices in the area. One slice is easily the size of two normal slices. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and is a great place to stop during your trip to Hoboken!

Visit Italian Delis for Fresh Mozzarella

Hoboken is known for its Italian delis, and they are definitely a must visit! Hoboken residents take mozzarella very seriously, and each year the delis compete in the Hoboken Mutzfest (a mozzarella competition and festival!) The delis pride themselves on their delicious, homemade mozzarella; try a bunch and see whose you like best!

Some of the most famous delis include:

Shopping on Washington Street

Washington Street is the main shopping street in Hoboken, and it is packed full of shops and restaurants! You can easily spend a few hours browsing in the stores and window shopping.

Visit the Coffee Shops

There are a bunch of coffee shops around Hoboken, and they make the perfect place for a morning or afternoon pick-me-up! One of my favorite cafes, Bluestone Lane, has a Hoboken location on Washington Street that I definitely recommend checking out. Another great option is Joboken! It is located right near the train station and has great coffee and treats!

Check out Pier 13 for Drinks + Views

Located about a mile away from the train station, Pier 13 is an awesome place to hangout with friends and have drinks! The views of Manhattan are gorgeous, and I really enjoyed the happy, colorful vibes. This is definitely a great weekend or evening spot! Be sure to check their website or Instagram before visiting, as their hours change and are weather dependent.

Visit the Waterfront Parks

One of my favorite things about Hoboken is that there are so many beautiful waterfront parks! If you walk along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway you’ll come across a bunch of parks, each of which is nice to visit. Two of the best, in my opinion, are Pier A and Pier C!
