Hello! As you may know, I am currently a student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and I recently moved into my very first apartment! I am so excited to show you all my college apartment decor + my favorite purchases for this apartment!
Bedroom
My bed is my favorite part of my entire apartment. I have been super into mixing white, black, and beige tones and I love the vibe of my bed. My duvet cover is from Urban Outfitters and you can find it here. This is my second year using this cover and I really like it. I purchased the full/queen and it was perfectly oversized on both my twin XL and now my full. It’s very cozy and cute – I highly recommend.
Throw pillows are my favorite part of home decor! I purchased two decorative pillows and three pillow inserts from H&M. I was very happy with the quality and the look of these – I definitely recommend looking at H&M Home if you are looking for cute and affordable pillows! These shelves are so cute, versatile, and hold way more weight than I expected. Although I do use these for decor, including pictures, I also find them very practical. I place my reed diffuser, perfumes, and jewelry on these shelves. They are easy to install and Amazon sells several variations, check them out here!
This macrame is very special to me as my sorority big made it custom for me! This hangs by my bed and really helps to bring in the beige tones to my room! Check out her Instagram @artbyamalia!
I received this record player as a gift about 5 years ago and it still works perfectly! For my birthday, Kate gave me these record frames and they are such a nice addition to my room.
The focal point of my room is my gallery wall. I decided to place this above my desk because I am completing my junior year virtually (for the most part) and it is important to me to have fun decor in my workspace. This gallery wall is a mix of art I purchased while traveling, prints I bought, and gifts from friends.

Living Space
We went on a shopping trip to Homegoods and found throw pillows, a blanket, and a rug to make our living area much more cozy. We especially loved the rug because the blue and beige tones allow it to hide small spills/stains that are apt to occur in a college apartment.
On our trip to Homegoods we also found a gold mirror that is awesome for pictures and it makes the space feel brighter + bigger. We placed the mirror on top of Isabella’s trunk and we really like this vibe! I highly recommend a bar cart for college apartments as we use it as a multipurpose storage space. Moreover, it really brings a much more aesthetic vibe to our living room.
