Happy holiday season everyone! One of my favorite parts of the holidays is picking out the perfect presents for my loved ones. On this list, I’m including my top 10 thoughtful and inexpensive gifts for travelers. These gifts will definitely be appreciated, even when travel is limited, and they also won’t break the bank!
National Park Notebooks
These little, pocket-sized field note journals are too cute! They come in a pack of three, and you can get them for tons of different parks. They’re the perfect gift for any traveler who loves to explore national parks, or who is hoping to soon!
Travel Coloring Books
These coloring books are versatile; you can take them on a flight or road trip with you, or you can color from your home and dream of travel! Either way, these make great, affordable gifts. Don’t forget the colored pencils!
Small National Parks Scratch Off Map
There are tons of scratch off maps on the market, but I love this one because it’s pretty and small! It’s the perfect size to store in a notebook and take on the go, or to frame for your desk.
Drives of a Lifetime: 500 of the World’s Greatest Road Trips
Road trips seem to be becoming increasingly popular, especially with COVID. This beautiful coffee table book would make a fantastic gift for any traveler who is hoping to plan some 2021 road trips!
She Explores: Stories of Life-Changing Adventures on the Road and in the Wild
The perfect book for any female traveler in your life! This book contains beautiful photos as well as essays, short stories and advice from female-travelers worldwide.
Homesick Candle
Gifting a trip may not be *budget friendly,* but a candle with the scent of a favorite destination certainly is! Homesick Candles come in tons of different scents that are specific to different states, cities and locations. I also love that they are non-toxic and made with soy wax!
The scent of the Puerto Rico candle is a mixture of “Coffee, Mango, Nutmeg; Mid Notes: Salt, Rice, Ocean Air; Base Notes: Vanilla, Tree Moss” and it sounds heavenly!
Travel Novel
For many, 2021 will likely also be a year of limited travel. Therefore, now is a great time to gift travel novels to allow your friends and family to “travel” from home. Two of my favorites are What I Was Doing While You Were Breeding and Wanderlust: A Love Affair with Five Continents. For a complete list of my favorite travel novels to inspire wanderlust, click here.
Travel Yoga Mat
These thin, foldable yoga mats are perfect for travel! They fold up nicely and come with a carrying/storage bag. They would be perfect for any friend who practices yoga on the go.
Tiny Bluetooth Speaker
This super tiny bluetooth speaker is perfect for listening to music on the go. It’s so small that it will take up virtually no space in your bag, but it’s also powerful. Lastly, it even comes with a travel case for added protection!
Universal Phone Mount
The perfect gift for anyone who likes to watch movies or Youtube while traveling. This little mount will attach to the seat-back tray on a plane, allowing you to watch all of your favorite shows from 40,000 feet.
I hope you enjoyed my top 10 thoughtful and inexpensive gifts for travelers! Here’s to hoping 2021 brings us all the gift of a pandemic-free year! To check out more of our gift guides, click here! Happy holidays everyone 🙂

This is a great post and I love the idea of those homesick candles. Very cool.
I want one of those National Park Notebooks! (I also love scratch off maps too)
Great unique ideas. I love the look of the 500 Road trips – I’m going to have to get that, and start planning I think!
There is nothing about this list that I don’t like – how did you manage to crawl into my mind and find all of the gifts that would be on my list? Well done!
I love these ideas, especially the homesick candles! So creative, unique and thoughtful 🙂
I have never heard of “she travels”. It sounds interesting and I wish I had thought to write it! I will check it out!
These are such good ideas! The 500 of the World’s Greatest Road Trips sounds like it would be so fun to read. Also, love the idea of travel coloring books – definitely a great way to pass the time!
These are some very original travel gift ideas! Definitely need to buy a travel coloring book for myself haha 😀
Great ideas!! I’m going to add “She Explores” to my list of booked to read! Thanks for the recommendation! I’m currently reading 3mph by Polly Letofsky which is hilarious if you like travel books. It’s about her walking around the world!
I love your post! I’m definitely thinking about getting a scratch map.
That foldable yoga mat is crazy. Also perfect for when I find myself sitting on the floor of an airport because the only power outlet I can find isn’t near any type of civilized seating. Great ideas in this gift guide!
